Prom - Failed Start?

I'm playing my family who just had a child sim age to a teen. This is my first teen since installing High School Years. I ended up getting the notification to go to Prom and of course sent my teen, however shortly after arriving I saved and exited the game because I wanted to come back at a different time and really enjoy it.

Loaded up the game today and loaded into Prom but the event thing is gone and everyone left the Prom almost like it was over but technically my sim just got there.

Is there any cheat to re-trigger the Prom event?
