Purchasing Explorer Supplies?

If you max out your culture skill though, you can ask the vendor for their secret wares, and you can then buy all the explorer gear as well if couldn't find it on sale at the merchant table.

There has to be a vendor associated with the table you want to purchase from. IIRC there are three tables and each have their own vendor. Usually in my game there are only two out of the three staffed at anytime. Makes it hard to buy what you want. Although as @paradiseplanet says maxing the culture skill will gain you more access with the secret wares from the vendors directly.

@Shiftylakes If you don't mind getting it via buy mode out of the gallery by downloading a room, I have a room with lots of goodies for surviving in the jungle on the gallery, you can find it here

Thanks. I have really hated not having a store like in Sims3 where you can buy all you want, plus, I relied on these supplies heavily in Sims3 when going to university as well as potions from the potion store. I never thought about looking for this in the gallery. Thanks so much for posting this and to OP for the subject.

Jungle supplies like the machete, shower in a can, etc. are available on the 'yard sale type' table, while pet beds etc. are available by clicking on the vendor.

The things you want are only found on the table for sale and cannot be bought that way. Buying explorer supplies is same as ranger station in Granite Falls: it only sells thing like portable beds, tents, food bowls etc.
So every time the jungle supplies sold are random and limited.

What I didn't realise originally is that you have to click on the individual items in order to purchase them. I was clicking on the vendor.
