Purchasing Explorer Supplies?

I seem to be having trouble purchasing supplies in Selvadorada. I can buy books, pet beds, guitars and other things, but never get the option for things like insect repellant, shower in a can, machete...

@Shiftylakes If you don't mind getting it via buy mode out of the gallery by downloading a room, I have a room with lots of goodies for surviving in the jungle on the gallery, you can find it here
