It may depend on the state on how they break up the grades.
One place I lived had grades pre-k to 6th grade, and merged 7-12th grade together in the same building.
Another place I lived had grades split with pre-k to about 5th grade, with 6-8th grade as its own middle school building, and 9-12th grade as a high school.
Also, in my high school, if you were a freshmen that scored well with math, you could take the more advance grade for it.
With Sims it is kind of hard to pinpoint what system they are using.
I know. My math score was such I was advised by the High School counselors to enroll in Algerbra-1 instead of Pre-Algebra. Turns out that's what Mr. Spellmeyer was teaching us. I realized this because the first semester of Algebra-1 was REVIEW for me. :open_mouth:
