A few more Q from me regarding assigning rooms. I'm planning a few builds and one particular detail re the assigning of rooms to customer and not... Would it be enough having a floorplan with one entrance room (hallway) leading to the residential unit, and will it be enough to assign that one room to household, thinking that customers can not reach the rooms beyond this room, as long as they can't access the hallway room? Or must ALL rooms be assigned one way or the other, regardless of floor plan? Could I risk that customers are spanning in the private area while I enter the lot, unless it is assigned household or employees?
For he outdoors I assume only fenced in areas (=rooms) can be assigned. Or will the lot edges define the entire outdoors area as one room?
Final Q: Can eith group be assigned to staircases? Like the stairs working as a gate to an upstairs private section, or must the stairs be placed in a private room? Would save some space if stairs could be locked, but I guess we would have heard about it if it was a feature of this pack...
Outdoor is Public unless fenced in or other room designating tools (decks, platforms etc) are used and assigned otherwise. You can use step over fences, archways etc, and Sims won't access them if not allowed (there's a Schemer perk that bypasses this rule).
If the room at one end of the stairs has a different restriction to the room at the other, only those who are allowed will enter.
