Question about "bring out cake"

I think that you may need to have a meal before being able to use the bring cake to table interaction.

It is great that we keep learning new things about playing the game,

Actually the interaction has nothing to do with ordering a cake.

Do you not have it show up when you click on the table at all ? They sort of bring their own cake.

The interaction fails on small tables that have a center piece as there's no room for the cake.

Aging a sim on a cake can cause other people in the restaurant to age up to when theya rent supposed to. Its a known bug and that has happened in my game. Thought u should know that incase u were usin it to age up a sim

I believe I've seen it pop up before sims have even ordered a meal. I'll have to take my sims out again to make sure.

Is it only when you have a birthday party at the restaurant? Because my sims never get a cake, even when they are asking.

No it can be for weddings as well . You can add your choice of toppers.
