Question about ghosts using up household slots

I've read that if you literally add a ghost to your household, it takes one of the 8 slots, but if someone dies on your lot and becomes a ghost, does that also consume one of the 8 slots? I'm wonde...

The only time a ghost will take up a slot is if they are a playable ghost. So if you have a sim die, and their ghost shows up from time to like they do it won't take up the 8 sim limit slot. The reason is when a sim dies, they will be moved to the hidden household section of the game.
