Question about new update "Gender Preference"???

In the new patch, in the patch notes there's a note that says "Gender Preference now affects flirt options". Was there a new gender preference feature added? Was there one the whole time? I'm so confu...

No. The only change is that gender preference affects flirting options now. You can read the other comments for an explanation on how gender preference works.
