- Technically no, because you cannot pay bills on a retail lot, you have to go 'home' for that but there is nothing stopping you from living most of your sims life on the retail lot if you so wish.
You could always set up the home lot like a bank and play pretend like that. That's me making the best out of a bad situation, hehe. :P - nanashisims10 years agoNew AceNo.
You rule. "nanashi-sims;14076117" wrote:

That joke is getting a bit stale don't you think? :P- Would it actually be possible to run a business from a rental lot instead?
- nanashisims10 years agoNew AceHuh?! I didn't know it was a joke, I thought it was the TS4 motto
For the record, I just posted on the OP's wall a note saying that when I tried to answer her/his post with just a no--my comment was blocked for being too short. This was never the case before, so blame whoever changed the way the board works--not me.
Not that I'm surprised though. It's all about control :unamused: - No but you could build a little "house" on the retail lot and now you can finally lock doors so you can keep employees and customers from going into your home away from home.
- ^^^ Oh yes ahaha I forgot you could lock them. Apologies I haven't played a serious save in a while.
- jasonsterlingrmc10 years agoSeasoned AceI lived my whole sim's life at a Retail lot once. I just maintained an empty residential lot elsewhere (the smallest obviously) but I never visited it. The game will auto send your sims to the residential lot if they are returning from school or work, however and you have to employ an extra load screen to move them back to the retail lot. The game will still send you bills for the residential lot but they are mostly low and you can pay them from any phone or computer. This set up worked for me as it allowed my newly created sim to start a business right away and be able to afford to build a building for it with just a small kitchen and bed in the back.
- You kinda can. It's even easier now that we have locked doors.

Can you live on that lot? In TS2 you can't live on community lots without a hack.
LOL! Someone zagabarfed me! Apparently, they must think that you "don't" rule in TS4. :joy:
