- Yes. It will take longer to load, there can be lag but I guess it depends on the amount of packs, the computer you’re using and its stats. I’m no technology expert; this is just from what I’ve observed. Someone else will probably be able to give you more of an idea on this topic.
- LadyKyn7 years agoSeasoned AceYep, as per usual with every sims game load times will change with every pack you have. Even with the Sims 2 and all it's content it takes it a moment (back then it took forever). The more content the more load time. Course it's gonna vary depending on the performance of your machine as well.
You should definitely check your specs and look at the ones for any packs you plan on getting to see if it meats the requirements or else you can be plagued with lag. About how C&D's came out and actually warned about it's rise in specs when you had it loaded. :# - I’m not a techi but my understanding is that it will IF you don’t have a system with high enough specs. I spent a small fortune on a great gaming laptop and with all the packs, some CC and mods I have no lag and load very quickly, probably takes about 10 seconds or so for my machine to load the game. Loading screens in game are a blink.
- SimAlexandria7 years agoSeasoned AceI have a very low end Dell laptop, I bought the cheapest one available at the time oh, and I have no trouble running at with almost every pack. I've all the expansions, all the game packs except vampires, and I'm saying free stuff packs but have the rest. It does take a very long time to load, but once you get into the game it runs without issues oh, so I don't know if that helps you or not. Also I don't use mods or CC.
- pinneduphair7 years agoSeasoned AceMy game does seem to load a little bit longer than when I first got it and only had one GP. But my PC is in need of some upgrades, and your specs are definitely a factor.
- Yes, I assume the packs are properly optimised to make as little change to the games performance as possible though, right? It would make sense.
- As any game, the more data it has to load, the slower it becomes. Granted depending on your specs this could be very noticeable or hardly noticeable. But in general, the more data, the slower it is.
