Question regarding sleep overs...

First of all, I did search around and couldn't find any answer so hang with me here. Second, I do not have the latest update and do not really want it at this point. Now on to my question...

Every time my sim invites an NPC to "stay the night" they agree but are instantly exhausted and ready to fall over. Even when it's only 7 pm. They instantly get the tired buff. Why? Is it a bug that I'm not aware of? I will admit I'm not the biggest Sims 4 fan out there and play it sparingly. So I don't keep up with all the latest.

  • I think it may be because if they are not being played at their active lot (or do not have always welcome so they can use others beds), or are at the active lot and able to sleep on a bench or couch, they may be being forced to be tired because they are unable to replenish their needs unless on an active lot, I'm not sure if there is a bug still, vampires had one before but I believe it has finally been fixed and have not noticed them doing it anymore, but maybe it is one with humans now? I'm sorry not helping much.
  • Are you comfortable using cheats? If so, you can shift-click the sim in question & make 'em happy (may need testingcheats on). Of course, then they won't sleep, on account of being wide-awake!

I didn't see this issue in bug-reports; instead, I found there used to be the 'opposite' bug, where the invited sim would never sleep.

I don't invite the sims over, generally; I kick their sorry....ahem. I make them leave.
  • Just recently invited my sims's brother and father to sleep over and they all just pulled an all nighter and do mischief and stuff.
  • Half the time it doesn’t even work for me. They agree to sleep over but then they go home.
