- luciusstorm3 years agoSeasoned AceI was torn between this. and Other... ultimately, I think you should do what you enjoy and what feels right.
I think I'd enjoy hearing more about Erik and his siblings high school antics, even if it doesn't perfectly match the existing posts. That said, I know I would feel awkward doing the same thing with Wyrd Girls if I had to jump back too far on my save. - I agree with @luciusstorm follow your heart and let it guide you. Personally I would keep writing and then edit things together later. I struggle to get started writing on my story so once I get into the flow I keep it going until it runs its course. If the muse is in you it's far easier to remove text later than it is to try and rekindle that creativity if you don't happen to be feeling it when that time comes. At least that's how it works for me. As I'm going along watching my sims I'm also thinking about how I would write up what I'm seeing and if I really feel it I'll stop and write or jot down thoughts.
- GalacticGal3 years agoLegendThank you, both. I'm mostly concerned because this is taking far longer than I anticipated with the bugs and the consequential resets just to try to get to the goal line of graduation. We won't even discuss another version of his wedding, right now. LOL I'll be lucky to see him graduate at this rate. Can't believe the game has dubbed him a Drop Out, twice, simply because he aged up. :open_mouth:
- MaggieMae72763 years agoSeasoned AceMaybe continue your current story and think of it as alternate universe/parallel timeline, or something along that line. Just follow what happens in this new timeline and return to your older save when bugs are fixed to continue that story. That way you don't have to stop your current story to wait for fixes, as long as you enjoy playing and the bugs aren't causing you any issues you can't put up with. In an alternate universe Erik may want to try a different path. Just do what feels right for you and enjoy!
- GalacticGal3 years agoLegendErik will always be a musician. It's in his DNA. But, I think if the mood strikes me, along with Inspiration, I will go ahead and write up snippets, perhaps, of what goes on. Just to keep the ole' pump primed. Thanks for the encouragement. :)

@GalacticGal Look! If you as the writer of your stories don't or do have inspiration to write the stories. Go on how you feel. Don't feel "forced" one way or another. So if you feel there is not much to write about, then don't. If you do, then do! - GalacticGal3 years agoLegendI was just worried about flooding the WHIYGT? Thread with another group of Flashback stories. LOL
- cyncie3 years agoSeasoned AceI don’t know why, but I thought the poll would look like neighborhood stories
*phone rings”
Incoming call from @GalacticGal
“Hey Cyncie. I was thinking about my game and I wonder if I should continue to write my stories, or just wait?”
Cyncie’s choices:
*Yes! Writing is always a good thing”
“I think you should just follow your heart”
“I don’t think writing is great idea right now.”
Of course, then you’ll have to post back in a day or so and tell me how great my advice was. (Which is to just do what you enjoy doing) - sweetonsims3 years agoSeasoned VeteranDon't go back after this - let Erik grow up and have some new adventures and let his kids experience high school or whatever new comes out for kids or teens

Are you suggesting I abandon my Main Save? Just keep going with this one, instead? That thought has crossed my mind, in which case the order of the songs he wins doesn't have to match those in the Main Save. I might give this some strong thought. Thanks.
