I can't answer this, bc I've never tried to deliberately kill a Sim with death turned off for them. All I know is that the death cheat resets for them all the time, and so you have to constantly turn it on again to keep them from dying on the active lot. Auto-Age for unplayed households will continue to age every household that you have not gone in to mark them as 'Played', no matter if you saved them in My Households or not.
