When playing an active Alien, how do people discover you’re an alien?

I can't tell you all the ways an alien's disguise gets blown, but these are the few that I know of.

• When an alien's emotions kick in and they start glowing is one of the biggest giveaways. There are mods though that will keep this from happening.
  
• After giving birth, and the baby can not yet be disguised, that will also expose the parent who is. I've had this happen to one of my aliens.
  
• If an alien kisses someone, the person being kissed figures it out pretty quickly.
  

At what stage of Astronaut do you get the Apollo or Retro rocket? Where does one put a personal rocket ship anyway (let alone two)?

Apollo Rocket - Level 10 of the Astronaut career while in the Space Ranger branch.
Retro Rocket - Level 10 of the Astronaut career while in the Interstellar Smuggler branch.
Or you can use a cheat to unlock the one you can't get. I put it in the spoiler in case you don't want to know the cheat.

As far as space I would recommend that your sim lives in an area that has enough land space to place the rockets.


Should my new alien astronaut live in Oasis Springs or San Myshuno?

It really doesn't matter where your sim lives, but whenever I have a sim work as a Scientist I have them live in Oasis Springs, mainly because when I take pictures the landscape it the same. Also when I look at the location of the science lab it looks like it is just outside the town of Oasis Springs.

~~Edit~~ Sorry I misread your post, not sure why I was even thinking scientist, guess I'm having a bit of a brain fluke today. lol Anyways I would still suggest Oasis Springs because if you want to place a rocket ship, Oasis Springs has more places you can place a rocket ship.

(If living in Oasis Springs) which food carts does Oasis Springs get and where?

There is one that is across the street where Johnny Zest starts out at the beginning of the game, in the little area where there is a little garden area.

These are the only things I can answer, the other questions I'm not sure about.

That's a lot of questions! I haven't played much with aliens so I don't have your answers, but I vote San Myshuno for your alien astronaut, especially if you're interested in food carts. Festivals pop up all the time, and when one pops up in your area, you can go right downstairs and visit.
