I had one Christmas so far with a family. I had them do all of the other things except the Father Christmas, as they did not have a fireplace. However, he did turn up around 2am (ish) at the front door. (They have businesses with fireplaces... does that count? Anyway, I had one of the sims give him a gift and he hung out with her for hours and didn't seem to have any interest in leaving. Seemed a bit creepy. Anyway, did you wait through the night to see if he appeared at the door (or anywhere at the home with the fireplace)?
