I think there is too big of a jump between "meh, it's all right" and "I actually really like it". I would fall in between those two choices. Sometimes I'm more 5-6 and sometimes I'm more 7-8. It has aspects that make me feel it's an eight and aspects that make it seem more of a five. Unless you really love it or really hate it there are always caveats to any choice simmers make. It is the Sims, few of us think any iteration is perfect.
