It's bad policy to do that as they eventually become little enclaves of hate, just talking to one-another and gradually stop getting the donations they need to carry on. MTS and some others are more positive, offering mods, cc for all iterations and are still doing well, just non-committal but leaving a space for the antis to air their views.
I did rant a bit at Sims 3 in the OF when it first came out. It improved after WA. I only moaned about the game's bugs though - but I was younger then. B)
