I noticed that recently too. I wondered if it was related to MCCC as I installed that to fix a bug where one of my sim's relationships was stuck on acquaintance and I hadn't done anything to change the settings.
I noticed when I was looking at the family tree of a Lilith Vatore to find out where the random child she suddenly had in the household had come from. Apparently he came from a very busy father. I gave up trying to untangle the family tree on that one.
