I don’t know why he wants to be a game changer, I don’t think he likes the game. I get that vibe from a few of the game changers but for the purpose of this topic, we will stick to Pixelade. I’m as critical of the sims 4 as the next person, if I built my career on that one game, it would be over quickly as I couldn’t just play that game, nor could I be a game changer.
Pixelade has a habit of going to events, over praising the packs whilst he’s there on EA’s dime and then once the pack releases he admits he doesn’t think the pack is that great. (He did this with Island living) Now it’s fine to change your mind but I struggle to believe after six hours with Island Living At EA play his true thoughts didn’t creep in. For most people who were critical, their criticisms of nothing to do (as Pixelade critiqued also) kicked in within an hour or two. I totally understand it must be hard making a living off one game, burn out must occur pretty quickly which is why I would never ever limit myself to one game and also most likely why Pixelade makes very click bait videos every time a Guru coughs - his channel depends on it.
I think he likes the status of being a game changer and the perks. It is a bit weird to see a game changer heavily promoting Paralives as it does seem like a conflict of interest. I’m not saying he isn’t allowed to be excited about it, I just don’t get the impression he actually enjoys the sims 4, he needs it to make a living and that’s it.
