Realm of Magic: Stories Discussion

First is my Archmage sim who’ve I’ve been fooling around with for awhile (as in he’s on his second aspiration and has a lot of skills near maxed). He is a goofy, hermit soul who likes to curl up with blankets and hot cocoa whether in a tent or on the couch and hates being dragged to these ridiculous council meetings, but alas.

I’m thinking with the three sage system in the magic realm, I’m going to have the council of Archmages be a... earthly counterpoint to them that push for more visibility on simearth. Bella Goth is definitely going to be one of the other archmages, so gonna have to either run her through the spellcaster steps or cheat.

Then we got my Strangerville witch sim I’m going to have just wander around the desert doing her own thang.

Aaaaand then we have my darling legacy spare’s kid, who has all the pufferhead stuff and will be obsessed with finding magic- stumbling on the gate one day as a teen. Going to get her an immortality potion and the idea is that a couple main-legacy generations down the line she will aid the main family branch.

I plan on finishing both Aspirations <3

Right now, there are so many possibilities. I'm pretty sure that whatever generation I'm at in my legacy will either marry into magic or undergo the quest to become a spellcaster themselves.

I'll probably have better focus once I see how the magic system actually works and what sort of stories it naturally encourages (I know they're trying to make it flexible, but every game system encourages certain types of stories over others.)

Yeah I can confirm that there was a tweet on this. You can make a mage in CAS and stories.

Woohoo! I thought that was probably the case because I know you can make both vampires and mermaids in CAS stories and I would assume aliens too (not that I have tried it).

I really want a way to drop out of school to be able to play those amazing teen stories where they decide how they live.

In sims3 Cornelia Goth and Agnes Crumplebottom became witches when supernatural came out. Gunther got turned into a vampire. Neither of the Goth's passed any of the powers on to Mortimer and he wouldn't want anything to do with it anyway.

In sims4, Gunther is a vampire, and I will make Cornelia a witch and add Agnes to the game as a witch. Cassandra's daughter may eventually become a witch as soon as she becomes a teen. So, Cornelia and Agnes will be the first spellcasters. :)

In my storyline on Tumblr and in "What Happened in Your Game Today," the three main characters will use the powers for good. However, their enemies will use magic for sinister purposes. Since Realm of Magic will be released on September 10, there will be a period of calmness, soon followed by an unexpected adventure to Selvadorada and Granite Falls based on a main character's prophetic dream.

My Mystic has a black kitten named Ebony. The kitten will become her familar & she will have actually mystic powers. I'm also going to create a unique girl who has a fasination for Celtic Lore & Vampire Lore. She will be raised with a Scary but good Grandfather who seems to look unually young.

I’m thinking of making a pair of siblings, one male and one female, with the surname Eldritch (suggestive, huh). The female would specialize in alchemy and mischief, and the male would specialize in untamed and practical. That way I could play with all the features without feeling overpowered.

My current legacy family lives in Sulani. Their son, Magnus, is a teen who wanted to be a doctor in his youth so he could help people. Now, seeing the beautiful island his celebrity father moved them to slowly being ruined with trash and waste, he's going to use his scouting skills and become a conservationist. Through his beach clean ups, he'll meet a beautiful native islander named Keiana - little does he know she's a mermaid. They'll fall in love, as he's always been pretty open to theidea of occults, and when they have children, whichever one is born not a mermaid will feel extremely left out. When that one becomes a teen, they read a book titled 'Legends of Glimmerbrook' and take note of the mention of a magic realm rumoured to exist through a portal in the Glimmerbrook woods. Desperate to be 'special' like their mermaids sibling(s), they sneak out one night and search for it. When they find it, it'll only be a matter of time until they become a spellcaster - who's special now?
