- Brooms, the coat, the boots, more rings on every finger, sparring, the weird looking creature (pet?), the worlds - fantastic!

I gotta admit the world looks super cool and I like the Harry Potter vibes.
Didn't saw any Harry Potter vibes? :p - OEII1001New SpectatorAs I said in another thread, I am initially disappointed in what appears to be a transformation, meaning that magic will once again be locked behind a lifestate. Alchemy does appear to return, so there is at least that consolation.
- well, my wig is levitating rn
- DaWaterRatNew VanguardLooks like learning magic is an actual process (like eating Mermaid Kelp or being turned by a vampire) so it's not just a skill, which should reduce the number of random folks with magic.
And I liked what I saw. Magic doesn't require a wand. The aesthetics aren't overly "witchy" and fit well with my Urban Fantasy preferences, but are also nicely classic.
And the music in the trailer put me in a good mood, so that helped. :) "PlayerSinger2010;c-17207705" wrote:
Sigh. So everyone can learn magic. That's not what I wanted at all. What's the point of having a witch occult if you're just going to give everyone magic anyway?!
By that logic, everyone can become a vampire or a mermaid. I fail to see the problem.
Loved that trailer, love the slightly futuristic/alien feel of it, it fits perfectly with my gameplay. Have to watch it more now.- amber_ilumireSeasoned Hotshot

That was my thought, but the trailer gives the impression you have to take potions to be able to harness magic? Like how a sim can become a mermaid by eating kelp. Idk, maybe that's too much speculation too early on, but I wouldn't rule out witches being a life state just yet. - LuckylunayreNew Spectator

That's what I thought too at first, but after re watching, it almost seems like she brews a special potion for him to be able to cast magic, and then casts a spell on him, similar to magis mutatio in sims 2.
I think the life state is wizards now and not witches though?
EDIT: Confirmed to be a life state - I'm afraid the floaty islands won't be residential and i don't want this to be one of those worlds you can only ever travel to and not live in. I like the look of it, but i expect my hopes to be dashed

I would love this to be the case, but I am not sure that it is correct. Beginning at 0:39 we have what appears to be a lifestate transformation.
