Can The Sims give me a good reason as to why we have limited time events, instead of just patching these events in-game and letting us get them whenever we want, without fear of missing out? Just one good, solid reason. Just one.I like the eyes, I want those. The lot challenge is confusing because it feels like it should be a personality trait.

I am dreading this event. The objects look good but I hate that I have to do quests within a set time to get them. I miss the time when this game was a sandbox game where I could do whatever I want when it suits my own time without forever loosing the chance to unlock something. I can't play every day, my time in the game is limited and now I have to sacrifice that precious time for this.

I love every single one of these items, so perfect for my playstyle! 🖤Although...I didn't realize I'm actually required to jump into LIVE MODE in order to participate! I believed it to be another log in-collect loot-log out situation, which is bad enough!! YELP! I'm busy! I'm sure I can manage in the weekends but I don't agree. People are already under so much pressure at work, our leisure time should not be crammed with more deadlines, YARGHH! Moan. *shakes fist at Event Organisers *I can do Ambrosia. Ambrosia - or should I say Ambrosius- is my middle name. Like Sir Didymus' loyal steed. If you know you know. I'm constantly dealing with resurrecting dead sims by the way, The King of The Kingdom of Ambrosia is who I really am. I think I've got everything in place, except for the darn Angel Fish. Off to the pond we go again. Sigh.

Here's a refresher on Ambrosia. Start working on those cooking, fishing, and gardening skills!Ambrosia is a Gourmet Cooking Skill Recipe that unlocks automatically at level 10, so long as you also have level 10 in regular Cooking. This Guide will show you how to best get the ingredients gathered up so you can Cook up your Sims some Immortality on a plate. In order to make Ambrosia, you'll need Skill in Fishing, Gardening, and of course to have mastered the art of Cooking. Ambrosia requires Angelfish and a Death Flower, which I'll show you how to get. The Recipe also requires you to accrue 1500 Satisfaction points to get a Potion of Youth from the Rewards store. Note that other Sims can gather the Ambrosia Ingredients for your Gourmet Chef. First quest completed. Did not take that long only 2 sim days. My sim Henry Bentley is in the Military (Officer Branch) he had to go to work but still managed to get it quite quickly as he had level 10 in cooking and gourmet. He is my test sim living in Henford

I was able to get on and play while my granddaughter was napping. I played one Sim day and got one of the quests finished. I played with teen Cassandra Goth to make it a bit more challenging.
She and Alex ended up in virtual school (I intended to have them in an occult school), so I had to wait until class was done. Then baby Sebastian needed a bottle while Bella was working. Then she was hungry. Finally we got to the quest, had to get her gardening skill to level 2, and finished.
Tomorrow she starts summer break so I hope we can spend more time working on cooking and summoning Grimm.
I also hope the event is still there tomorrow. I was a little scared to log off.
Edited to add that the event worked fine when I logged back on. I was able to get the second quest finished. Now to continue working on gardening and cooking!

I thought this would be like the ridiculous one y'all had before where we had to login at least once a week to get a little prize. Now I find out it's even more ridiculous. EA is completely ignoring that not everyone plays this game the same. I don't like Quests. I don't do Quests. I literally "X" them out because I don't like them. And while we're on the subject, I HATE that EA forces death on my game by randomly killing off my Sims best friends...so that also means I don't give a fig about the Grim Reaper. Just another big disappointment.

  It's all about capital. EA is not producing new and exciting base gameplay. There should have been a pottery wheel with the new Artists Studio Kit. We all know that.

So if the items are now linked to our EA account, does that mean we have to be logged in when playing our game to access the items? What if we play our game offline? Will the items still be in our game or not?

  AncientMuse2 I play offline all the time but I still first have to log into the EA App, so as far as I can tell the game is always connected to my EA account. It still comes up with my name on the welcome screen. So unless I’m misunderstanding something I *think* that shouldn’t be a problem?

    Hopefully it'll properly work that way because if I invest my valuable time and effort into these time-limited events, then I need to be reassured that my rewards are kept and saved in my game from that day forward. I don't want to go into my game one day only to discover everything has forever disappeared into that dark and dismal place known as the 'Abyss of Grim-ly Smite'.

Just how many times are we supposed to plant lilies and snapdragons? I've planted a bunch of them in an unmodded, new save and that task does not clear...everything else has cleared...

  worked fine for me but did you plant in planter and did you use ones that come in starter flowers pack?
  also only the plants planted after the task shows up count for the task

Not really liking this one. Although some of the rewards may be nice, it really doesn't fit the gameplay of my decades challenge, which is the only save I play and the only actual save I have at the moment. The tasks do not really fit the decade that I am playing currently, so it is immersion-breaking. I also hate the lists to complete as that is telling us how to play, and I thought the franchise was all about playing my way. Sims 4 has become a micromanagement nightmare simulator instead of a life simulator with each "event" list thar gets introduced.

  Prov31Simmerthe event rewards are available across saves so maybe you could start a new save just to complete the event, get the rewards, and then delete that save.
  Alternatively, you could just skip the event and grab the rewards from the Gallery.

Don't die during this challenge. My household is one sim so when she started to die I turned off the game. The reaper challenge rewards are collected but I don't own any of them, and since I did this week's tasks I can't do them again . The rewards don't exist at all. All notifications about the challenge doesn't exists either.

Please save after each task. Wish I knew this before I started the quest
