wow- I wonder if @Keidra or @Kellogg_J_Kellogg or others who play with heavily modified premades are having this issue?
I am playing almost all premades right now but I haven't changed them in CAS. Just regular aging and gameplay developments. Haven't noticed anything odd.
For Sim 66 I decided to keep the premades and retcon them to suit the 1960s. That mainly involved changing their clothing and parts of their houses. Some, like the BFF's, I heavily modified but the Goths I didn't change at all; they've always looked retro and it's in keeping with them that they always look a little out of time. Not many of the other premades have featured heavily in the story so I can't remember what I did with all of them: Johnny Zest and the Spencer-Kim-Lewis families didn't need much alteration. Yuki and Candy Behr did need a lot of changes, Eliza Pancakes didn't need much doing but Bob did.
As for names and backstories, I used the Sims Wiki as my guide. There's lots of hints, suggestions and tantalising hooks if you read those and I've kept them in Sim 66: Bella's mysterious disappearance, the Pancakes' troubled marriage, Johnny's estrangement, Summer loves Travis, Brent and Brandt are a gay couple, the suspicion Jacques Villareal killed his wife and the Landgraabs being ruthless and criminal. I've run with all those ideas and I think they work in-game.
If EA change the backstories and names then I'm not going to retcon Sim 66 to follow suit. What has been established so far will remain that way. Of course any new premades who haven't featured in the story will follow the new updated backstories.
