Remind me again, honey, when was our daughter born?

Admittedly this is a little geeky, pretty sure I’m overthinking the issue.

I have this family, one of my favs, consisting of mother, father, daughter and household android. In low technology setting the android usually becomes the older (adopted) brother of the human girl.

The Phillips family: Daniel, John, Emma and Caroline

Now the Phillips had other androids before and after Daniel, five altogether. These extras rarely come into play, but I plan to play a challenge that requires a couple to have exactly six children – the perfect opportunity to finally have all Phillips kids together!

The question now is, where do I put the human girl in the birth order?

The timeline goes like this:
2023 – Zoe RT600 initialized
2025 – Daneel MP500 initialized
2028 – Emma Phillips born
2032 – Sophie AX400 initialized
2034 – Daniel PL600 initialized
2038 – Sylvia AP700 initialized

Technically Emma is the third born, but that wouldn’t reflect the actual family dynamics, in which she is mentally younger than Sophie, Daniel and Sylvia. On the other hand in my old cottagecore save Emma was the middle sister between Daniel and Sylvia, so it’s not as if I hadn’t shaken up the status quo before.

So where would you put Emma in an alternate universe where everyone is human? (Third born and youngest make the most sense, but I offered all six options in case someone makes a compelling point for one of them.)
  • Good point about the different maturity levels! Emma is a good person (Cheerful, Music Lover, Outgoing), very couragous and actively helpful, but she definitely isn't the most responsible one. In practise Sophie and Daniel might act more mature than their older sister. Maybe I should give Emma Childish instead of Cheerful in that save to reflect this.

Plus: Not only between siblings but also at work and many other places, there is the 'I was here before you' thing.

This definitely holds true for my Detroitverse, too. Workplace seniority is not to be questioned (and since most of them are in the same career, it's a serious issue).
