Thanks for explaining this by the way."CAPTAIN_NXR7;c-17929340" wrote:
Do not be confused about what a Sims 4 trait slot is. There are many different factors that make us the person we are. Same goes for a Sim.
Currently 4 trait categories exist in CAS:
- Emotional
- Hobby
- Lifestyle
- Social
Vegetarian & Lactose Intolerance would automatically fall under the Lifestyle category. Why?
Well…Obviously you need to change your lifestyle when suffering from any intolerance, may it be lactose, nuts, gluten, meat, you name it.
It’s life changing. It should all go under the lifestyle trait.
Sure, it would be great to get extra trait slots for our Sims , but to call the addition of this lactose intolerance trait mockery is a “little” far fetched.
I personally believe that the trait fits perfectly within the lifestyle category and I think the team did well to add it there.
And seriously OP, if you don’t want it, don’t use it. Plenty of folks who do!
Hooray for it being optional! ?
Why do some make such a big deal some may say?
• Why did some make a big deal when they made JTB? Were those opposed to this considered “snowflakes” or the “easily offended crowd” because they included something that some did not want.
Why do some mod their game? You don’t like something that is by design or it is just too much for you. Newsflash, you nerf the game. The irony of it all is truly amazing.
This forum abounds with things folks don’t want in the game, feel something it too much and/or not enough. And, let’s not forget all the so-called missed opportunities.
• Buy vampire pack—ask that the vampires be nerfed. Why did you buy it?
• The dust bunnies and sparkles are just too much— Dust now accumulates slower. Upon release there was a toggle feature initially added.
• Buy DHD—oh they don’t recognize poop. Newsflash, when you leave, they actually clean up the poop.
• No one asked for JTB. This was a classic community meltdown by some. ?
• Nerf the foxes in Cottage Living. Newsflash, they’ve included not one but multiple solutions to deal with foxes in the game.
• And the list goes on and on.
Obviously, there isn’t anything wrong with balancing or nerfing since many do it. Just stop with the pot calling the kettle black mentality.
OP—too much personal information by the way. They have given ones who don’t like this a solution. Simply don’t use it as a trait. Should there be more trait slots—perhaps. Out of all the things included in this game, you feel this is insensitive because hits a little too close to home—interesting. Yet, you are entitled to your opinion.
I hope this does not get removed.
Counter point, can you add asthma from ecopack as a trait from the getgo? no, its a response to the a gameplay aspect the environment and not as an actual trait, such as asthematic. What about the deadly gerbil disease? like asthma, nope you only get that on conditional gameplay aspects. If both of these were able to be added as traits then it would invalidiate my point. but seeing as clearly as they added these two aspecets of a sims health as game play, I don't think lactose intolerance should be added as a trait, but modified as a genetic aspect of game play like its two previous examples that were simialarily game play things, but if not nope it needs to be nerfed, because allergies and diseases arent personality traits but health stuff.
