Renaming in Manage Household

If you're just opening up Household Management, clicking on their file in there and renaming the household that way, you're not actually renaming them, just their file name. You can still do it from there though. Click on them in Household Management and choose 'edit', the icon that looks like a pencil. It'll take you to CAS. From there you can rename the household last name or even their first names, whatever you desire. Once you save from there the new household name should stick. Good luck! :)

Thanks for your reply! I don't want to change their first or last names, though. I was hoping that I could change their overall household name itself to be different than just their last name. So when you go into the manage households screen, and click on the family you want, the name in the box at the top is what I want to edit, which is their last name. I have a few reasons why I want to change that but one of them is a lot of my sims share the same last names because they're siblings and those sims have new families that move out on their own and so on. So I wanted to edit that a bit to make those households more descriptive (such as putting their generation number there). But if that isn't possible, then I'll just have to make do with putting that in the family description box, which I haven't had any problems with. I had just hoped I could see that from the overall household management screen without having to open each one individually. I hope that made sense?

And yes, I'm hitting "enter" and saving every time. :)

I will say I do have a few mods. Before I take them out to spend a day or so playing without them to do a full on test (since they stick for a period time it seems), I wanted to make sure this was in fact doable or I wasn't doing something correctly. It acts like you can change it - that name box is editable so I'm not sure what is going on.
