We're supposed to be able to rename our households, right, in the manage households screen? Every time I have done it, what I renamed it has reverted back to the original name when I reload the game. It may happen sooner than that but so far that's when I've noticed it. Am I doing something wrong?

Where exactly are you renaming them? If you're just opening up Household Management, clicking on their file in there and renaming the household that way, you're not actually renaming them, just their file name. You can still do it from there though. Click on them in Household Management and choose 'edit', the icon that looks like a pencil. It'll take you to CAS. From there you can rename the household last name or even their first names, whatever you desire. Once you save from there the new household name should stick. Good luck! :)

@juliekaye Don't forget to press 'Enter' after you type in the new name.

@Admiral8Q Yes, that's exactly how I'm trying to do it. It just won't stay for some reason. Actually, I'm suddenly wondering if MCCC may have something to do with this. It just dawned on me, maybe when it cycles through doing it's various tasks in the background, it could be changing that as well? I will do a test this weekend on a new save without it and see if it makes a difference.

I also don't use mods and don't have an issue renaming household names so that is probably the issue.I do have an issue with households ending up with blank household names though :o

Oh I have seen that, too! I have 4 or 5 that right now that are blank. Started when I got university I think.

Thanks guys - I'll test more this weekend! But I'm guessing it's one of my mods, prob mccc.

This has happened to me at least two or three times since I got University.

I haven't gotten to play much yet. But I did go in and change mccc settings to stop changing last names so I'm hopeful that's the culprit.

Just to update the thread, it was the sync last names in MCCC mod that was causing my issue. I turned that off and all appears to be well!
