RESOLVED: I spend yesterday beginning a new save. I even labeled the current save folder: REDUX and placed a new folder into my game. Then I started this new save to be labeled Flashback. It is designed specifically to follow Erik Cantrell through his high school years. I made Aaron a YA, and Brianna a Child and Adrian a Toddler. If it turns out we can only control one Teen through school, then I'll age Joey down to a child just older than Bree. I have turned off aging, for the time-being since I decided to start my game in Summer. I have two-week long seasons. Erik has managed in the past to reach Global Superstar in as few as ten Sim days. I pray this can happen again, so that he's got this status when he begins school.
I will ultimately keep the REDUX save, by all means. I may alternate game play between the two different saves until the EP is released. Once we learn if we can control more than one Sim in school, I'll make a decision on Erik's children. The whole idea, is to eventually connect these two saves. In fact, I had an apostrophe (as Smee said in 'Hook': of course he meant epiphany) in that the Flashback stories can begin once Jamison, Erik's eldest is set to begin his four-year journey in education. This will set Erik upon a journey of his own, reminiscing about his years spent in high school. Then we may follow Jamison for a bit. I may even alternate Erik's memories with Jamison's reality, who knows? Just snippets.
I know this is the correct path for me as I am at peace with this decision.
