Resetting an object without using a keyboard?

Sometimes my sims will get stuck and I have to reset object on them, which I think is shift + right click. However my keyboard no longer works on my laptop so shift clicking isn't an opinion anymore. Is there another way to reset a sim that's stuck? would restarting the game work?

  • Have you considered just getting a separate keyboard to connect to your laptop? Certainly much cheaper than a new laptop. Windows has a virtual keyboard but I don't know that you can use that in game and how practical that would be even if you could.

Both options have their pros and cons, but I want to know if there's another workaround for resetting a stuck sim besides shift clicking.
@rosemow do you know of any methods of getting a stuck sim unstuck besides shift clicking and resetting?

Could you assign shift function to another working key on your keyboard?

  • If you use MCCC tou can reset a sim by selecting the MCCC menu on that sim and the use the cheats module to reset sim.
Of course if you don't (want to) use MCCC I wouldn't install the mod just for this.
  • Thank you so much for the replies everyone, as it happens I do use MCCC, so MC cheats is probably the most straight forward solution.
