Resurrecting morbid thread: Pets' death is different

Sorry to bring it back.
Remember the previous pet death thread? I'll provide a link here.
forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/928870/pets-deaths-really-made-me-cry/p1
Anyway, if you read the previous thread, it said that pets whose time is up just lie down and wait until Grim Reaper turns them into the grave.
I just had a cat die, and the result was more sad than previous one.
The usual one happened, it laid down, but then cat collapsed while the old age effect was seen (the same one sims have). It didn't even move it's head like previously, and this time your sim can't plead to save the pet.
So, they the bug where pet just lies down to die...
Sigh...

  • I used MCCC and remove the pet from existence when it's dying as I get upset when a pet is dying in The Sims and my sims don't get upset as they don't remember the pet.
  • Might sound weird, but I'm glad they changed it. It feels more natural even if it's sad. I mean it should be sad! I was sad when my first dog died but it was weird when she just laid there looking around all content until the Grim Reaper came.

Oh I totally forgot about this.
Let me add this video to show you animation of this. Here:

They have same old age effects when dying by old age just like sims have. Really makes you think...
  • It's supposed to be a sad event for the sims, not for the player.

Thank you for the warning! If I ever get to the point where a pet needs to die from old age (not likely given my slow progress of the years) I'll do it like 0xx_Simmer_xx0.
