Yeah, unfortunately that's the only way to really run a business in this game. It's too bad Maxis left the entire retail part of the game broken - it's completely dissuaded me from buying anything else related to Sims 4.
I hate the way all the customers all congregate in one corner of the shop and incessantly chatter! I've got the selling a bit more under control now I've got the sure sale thing going on.
