Rewards for children/teens

Hi everyone. Are there any rewards that a kid can get to improve their grade or increase their skills faster? I know an adult mentoring and certain lot traits help. I'm asking about rewards specifically.

    Hmm...

By rewards you mean reward traits?

Currently, I don't know any. Though children's aspirations give a reward trait that allows them to raise a certain group of skills faster, reaching to the top of scouting activity gives boost to every skill, and teens with programming skill can hack their grades (which could fail).

But I don't know any reward traits that help with grades. After all, sims only go to school during child and teen life stages. Afterwards, job. Knowing that grades work like job performance and promotions, I think that the reward traits that help with job performance help with grades.

Oh, and Happy Toddler and Top Notch Toddler also boost skill gain.
  • @joRN1414 I think night owl starts at 8pm. Not sure exactly of the hours. A moodlet pops up when it's active. Sometimes it doesn't pop up if you are out at another lot with another sim at the time it should take effect though.
  • For my supersim I tried to get as many rewards to improve skills gains as possible. Here is what I did

    1. Top notch toddler. You need to play the sim as a toddler for this one but you can get increased skill gains +25% for you sim. Happy toddler is only 10%
    2. the aspiration rewards for the child. Each aspiration gives faster skill gain for a few skills. If you complete them all, you get a nice list of skill gain for base game skills. But I don't know if all can be done on normal lifespan.
    Spoiler
Artistic prodigy aspiration for faster skill gain in Creative skills (Painting, Instruments, Writing, Cooking).
Rambunctious Scamp AspirationRambunctious Scamp for Physical Skills (Fitness)
Social butterfly for Social Skills (Charisma, Mischief, Comedy Skill).
Whiz kid for Mental Skills (Rocket Science, Logic, Fishing, Video Gaming) .

    4. Scout aptitude reward trait (requires seasons) if you reach the maximum of the scouting career you get a skill gain boost of 25%

My supersim definitely learns skills faster than normal sims due to these reward traits.

Don't forget the lot traits. Especially good schools (boosts school performance) and study spot (boosts homework and skill building, required discover University) are good with children.
  • TY. I have to try the scouting. I haven't played with that yet. I always forget about the morning sim and night owl traits. @mightysprite are the hours like 6am-6pm and 6pm-6 am or do you know?
