- I too loved the Plumbots in TS3 and thought they were really well done: the best thing about Into the Future, in my opinion. But I really do think these robots will have more in common with them than they will with Simbots, or even the TS2 servos. They are difficult to make, need to be constantly maintained, and can be upgraded or "enhanced." The primary difference (apart from the lack of customizable appearance and trait chips) is that they seem to be more breakable than TS3 plumbots (who were immune to water, if I remember correctly). I like that, though, because it will make them more challenging and interesting.
- paradiseplanet27Seasoned NewcomerI have faith in the modding community that someone will probably try making a "skin" for the servos to wear and if you wanted them to become waterproof, someone will probably do that too. :) There's also already custom robot traits out there to complete the look.
- so hows this for a Servo store name Syberlife

I hope robots aren't locked to the university and that you can create them in other worlds too.
i doubt that
I think it would be possible if you can buy the station.Like you could in 3.Im glad they look like plumbots.
i think the station can be bought and be used in retails- Horrorgirl6Seasoned Veteran

They won't be. You can add them to the household and there are going to be others that will do cool things.
I cant wait. So excited to play as one.
Unlikely but maybe we can create them in create a sim, or maybe kid robots ^^ - or even sell servo type robots in retails

In sims 3 you can buy, and sell plumbobs at the bot store. "Horrorgirl6;c-17287457" wrote:

Hopefully it’s a lifestate, that way you can give it traits and such, but also sell it if you want to.
Hmm... selling stuff I create is all well and good. I would however not be a fan of being able to sell a sentient robot that could be part of the household. Not going to stage an uprising for it, will just not use it myself. - Horrorgirl6Seasoned Veteran

I think it was in S3 where you built it and it stayed in a ball until you started it up the first time and gave it a gender(?) and a name. However, in S4, no one actually buys anything I sell. It just disappears from the shelf and I get money for it.
No you buy a bot station. When you reach level two.You get the option to create a plumbot.Than it takes you to a robot version of create of sim.You pick their gender iso, body parts, voice, and name.
