Hopefully it’s a lifestate, that way you can give it traits and such, but also sell it if you want to.
In Into the future we could give them traits with adding chips to them but it took a while to get high enough to make the best traits. I made a Nanny bot that took care of my Sims kids and pets.
In Sims 3 Into the future you could buy them in stores and build them at home.- Horrorgirl6Seasoned Veteran

I have no doubt that the inventing station can be placed anywhere in any world.
As long as it does not require a sim to have been to uni. In get to work there are some science objects that only work for scientists or sims that have been scientists.
I doubt it since it's a life state. - I'm suspecting the little bot next to one of the beds (right) is the one that can perhaps join the household. If you see the trailer, it's almost everywhere, but I could be wrong.

They won't be. You can add them to the household and there are going to be others that will do cool things.
I cant wait. So excited to play as one.
One of the robots is a radio that hovers in the air. Now that is cool. I wonder if these robots have to be charged up like the ones in Into The Future. - JomilejNew Scout> @Dannydanbo said:

with get to work, in the retail townies come and buy your stuff - i wonder can robots be upgraded to feel emotions?
- So it looks like they've done a combination of the robots from Sims 2 (cleaning etc) and the plumbots from Into the Future? I never played with the Sims 2 robots much, only the cleaning ones so I can't be certain but that's what it looks like.

I loved Servos (Sims 2) and Simbots (sims 3) but Plumbots (sims 3) were somewhat bland :| The new robots look like Plumbots. I was waiting for Robots as a GP, a full lifestate not a feature for Uni. I enjoy Uni at Sims 2, but Sims 3 Uni was one of the worst packs ever: inestable, bugged and boring :/ But I will wait for the livestream to see how robost work, paying full price of an EP to enjoy one feature is risky...
