- GamingTweety6 years agoSeasoned AceThe only way is to play as them and ask the Sages to take their powers. We can't use rite of dissolution as far as I know, but only Sages.
Though I'm using Mccc here, with "mc control" part I make the sim interact with the sage and make them ask for rite of dissolution.

Played sims can learn the Rite of Ascension, but they can't learn the Rite of Dissolution (at least not that I've found) The only way for a spellcaster to loose their power (without cheats) is to voluntarily give it up.
That said, if you use cheats, I think if you find the sim's ID number, you can unequip the trait, but as I don't mind random townies becoming spellcasters, it's not something I've looked into heavily. "DaWaterRat;c-17261733" wrote:

yeah you can ascend people but not dissolution.
i'm usually fine with randoms being spellcasters but when i first went there alot of sims and townies i had who were nothing to do with magic started becoming spellcasters due to going to RoM (hence why i modded it to only allow locally randomed townies to become casters randomly.
but problem is alot of sims who had nothing to do with spellcasting have now become casters and i have to manually change that which i didnt really want to do as many of them became random casters ><- I just recently got this pack. Played it for a while too. I did notice that even some of the household residents (unplayed) becoming spellcasters. Is there anyway that we can toggle on/off this feature just like the GF?

The short answer is no.
There are mods to suppress what the game generates when entering the magic realm though, so you can just have only newly generated Sims to be casters or make the realm as barren as you want it to be. "paradiseplanet;c-17305116" wrote:

Thanks! Since I don't play with Mods, this is a little bit disappointing...- The game patched it you have to either 'suffer from the suspension of disbelief' of townies being mages or befriend al of them before visiting Realm of Magic
