I was only asking if it needed to be the same length for each household as I wondered what the OP's opinion on that would be. I can see that it would be very important to some people.
For me, I don't feel that playing one house for 2 days and another for 5 makes a great unbalance so I am happy with that. Maybe on the next round I would play the 2 day house longer and the 5 day house shorter - it all evens out eventually and, if not, so long as sims age up fairly closely to their counterparts then it is fine with me.
