- SimsBarbie7 years agoSeasoned AceNo limitations.
- XxAirixX7 years agoSeasoned AceI allow as many children that they want to have and their household can handle. Since there is no story progression, sims often die off without getting married or having kids, shrinking the population (I delete most random townies) if I don't have sims get married or have kids.
I only play households of sims I created. - simmerLella7 years agoSeasoned Ace

I don't limit the number of children, but I guess I'm not a true rotational player either since I don't have a rotation schedule. I just play whichever Sims feel fun in the moment. I let my Sims make their own decisions about number of children (and everything else). I mean, whatever it seems like they would want.
I play a similar way and how is that less rotational? Do people not think that's rotational? If it's not, what is it then????? :| Just a chaotic player?? - Is there a limit to the amount of played households you have?

I want to play rotational, but I'm afraid to play in the same save and have something unexpected happen to one of my sims while I play with the other. Do you guys play rotational in different saves or in the same?
I only have the one save. I actually like watching my sims run around the world doing other things. I also find that my families are more connected to each other than they ever used to be. The worst thing I've run into is that pets are always sick when you return back to their family rotation. There is a mod available to fix that, so I have started using it and it no longer seems to be an issue.
I buy a ton of wellness treats from the vet and leave it in one of the owner inventories. When I rotate back and the pet is sick, I give it a treat and they're good to go. ☺ - Simmerville7 years agoLegendI have no limit on children, but mostly they have 1-3 kids. I do realize that my worlds will get full, but I'll find solutions when I'm there. I play 50+ households (all), but I only play half of them each sim year (4 x 14 days per season). 52 days to play 25+ households works fine for me. I might skip houses with just one elder, or families I played more intensively recently. If a household is very exciting at the time, I might play them many days, I have no strict rules. Aaand - if something big and new happens (like a new EP added), I will play 1 or 2 years without aging them on New Year's Eve. I'm glad I finally found a way to deal with it all, because for a long time I didn't see my TS3 routine work well with TS4. Now it does :)
- Queendess7 years agoRising ScoutI have two saves of the same rotational neighborhood. One with aging and one without, just to keep my original Sims but add on as I go. So the amount of kids in the no aging save is set. In my aging save I do limit the number of children my rotational households can have to one or two unless twins or triplets pop up. I also use MCCC to let the handful of townies I keep have families and set them to have just one child to prevent random baby booms from popping up.
- filipomel7 years agoSeasoned AceI have one save file where I play on rotation between quite a few households that I've been playing for I wanna say almost two years? (I made this save around the time City Living came out) I first started out the save playing only one household, but as I invested myself in the other characters in my game I started to play with them too. I will say though, I don't play the save much anymore because it is quite draining to keep up with ten + households and all their offspring, so yes, now when I play rotationally (or any household for that matter) I like to limit the amount of kids I have to two max. I am quite attached to the Sims in that save file, I honestly might never live out their days to their natural death because I think I would be too sad to see them go, especially after two years of playing with them.
- Fanphoria7 years agoSeasoned AceNot really. We die drowning in too many households like men.
- No limits, but I will say it was a challenge when my very first couple in TS4 had TRIPLETS!
I just go with whatever I feel like doing. I don't mind having 2 babies at once cause I've been able to manage them. I love playing with the toddlers, so several families have 2. Some are twins, some are not. A few families have 3 or 4 children/teens. Some families have a pet or two.
What I don't like is the frequency of alien abduction. It's not even funny how many men have produced alien babies in my game. I'm gonna start sending them to Sixam if this keeps up. I have a family with 2 or 3 kids already and the father had alien TWINS!
I have 2 game saves, btw - happened by accident when I first started playing and didn't understand what I was doing. XD I don't mind. When I get tired of one group, I go to the other game save and play with that group for a time. I also have aging set to the longest setting.
