Rumoured SDX Sleepwear Set

The sleepwear set is just more swatches of things that are already in the game, so I wasn't too excited for it. But, I don't like what this kind of thing could mean for the future.

It makes no sense to require EA Play, basegame is already free and by now, everyone who wanted to play TS4 already has one way or another.

Not sure how I feel about it being console only, I'm a console player but would rather everyone got to enjoy everything. We all paid money and love the Sims, I don't see a reason for this exclusivity.

I look at this as an incentive for players to use EA Play. Just like EA offers 'free bonus content' to players that buy new packs before a certain date to bump up the number of pre-orders. I have been trying to be less critical of EA/Maxis and their business practices, but this latest attempt to lure players into purchasing a subscription to play Sims4 is a bit much. There is no way a set of matching pajamas for Sims families could make me okay with using any type of subscription service. Is there more than one swatch for these pajama sets? Or will players have to be content with a single swatch? And as @David8_Ly said, there is a lot of free CC out there that is more versatile than this latest offering from EA.

Eh, they're pretty bland anyway. No loss for me.

This is a console exclusive at the moment.

Apparently it's only for console players.

Try to imagine all of the PC players using EA Play subscription feeling like they have been cheated on and angry with EA, because it was originally added only for console players. Maybe it will be added for PC later on as well, but not confirmed yet.

Did we already get an SDX drop for February? I can't remember. I thought we were supposed to get one every month.

If it is just a short term exclusive for EA play members for a few weeks and then made available to everyone than I see no problem with it.

However, if it is not, then it flies directly in the face of mod/cc creators that have items behind patreon paywalls who are forced to make the items freely available to all within a set time period. EA in fact has openly discouraged and asked people to report in to them the creators that do not conform to this.

So now we wait to see if they abide by the same rules that they made for cc creators.

EDIT: So now it is April 10th - well beyond the 2-3 week paywall for content creators. Not a big surprise but the answer has been provided.
