Satisfaction with TS4

Played TS1, played the ever-loving crap out of TS2, skipped TS3 because it would hardly load/not be laggy/not have ugly Sims, and TS4 has been the best one by far IMO.

I never had the opportunity to play sims 1. But I started on Sims 2 and to this day its still my favorite. Sims 3 is a close second (might even be a tie between 2 and 3), 4 just isn't there yet for me to really like it like I like the other two that I've played.

I just always feel starved for content in sims 4. If I buy a new pack I'm good for probably 5 hours to keep my self busy but after that I'm always asking myself. "okay.... so now what?" plus my sims 4 sims all feel the same. I think the sims 4 has some wonderful ideas that I feel aren't utilized to their full compacity.

I did not like the visuals of TS4 in the start, but I assume they got adjusted along the way, or perhaps the rigid designer color scheme got more colorful after a few packs added. I didn't get hooked until we got Seasons and I think the calendar/year did it.

I miss the color wheel from TS3. I imagine my game will soon have too many BB & CAS items, some of them I never used and some are nearly duplicates, and constantly more items being added doesn't help a bit. It's getting difficult to look up something in the catalog, and searching through swaps(?) is very tedious compared to simply coloring the items yourself. I miss the open landscape, but I also like how it is solved in TS4 with access to a large public area from each lot with no loading screen. It's a smart compromise.

I mange to get attached to some of my TS4 sims, just like I did in previous series, so then I assume it's all good :)

S1 - Can't remember much of it but I know I played it a lot on y friend's computer and it was enough to get me interested in S2.
S2 - Fantastic gameplay but the graphics! My second fave though.
S3 - I didn't mind it but the people on the S4 part of the forum yammering about how S3 is the best and what not has made me dislike the game. I don't want anything to do with the people who whine about S4 or S3 itself. I wish this game never happened!
S4 - Well, the best.

I've only ever played 4 and FreePlay. I've been wanting to play TS2 for a while, but I have no idea where to get it. TS3 doesn't interest me.

I wish bugs were fixed faster, but I'm generally happy with the way the game is. I wish it threw more surprises at you the way that I've heard previous games did.

As a family player, I am not satisfied with TS4. Young adult and adult get the vast majority of the focus, while the other age groups have barely anything to make them unique/interesting. Teens and elders only have a decent amount of clothing options because they share it with YA/adult, but the majority of those clothes are unfitting for those age groups. And they barely have any gameplay elements to make them feel individualized. Children just feel like adults with less interactions most of the time and they're very much shafted in terms of new stuff. Toddlers are the only age that feel unique, but they are still hugely lacking in terms of gameplay and horribly lacking in terms of CAS and BB. And of course babies are literal objects.

I'd like to see more for elders, teens, kids, and toddlers; more clothes, BB objects, and gameplay unique to them. And of course, I would like to see a massive baby overhaul. If they can accomplish that at some point, I'd be satisfied.

I wouldn't say I am completely satisfied there is some petty little things to nitpick about
but overall I do like the game and I feel it is getting better update by update pack by pack

I think Sims 4 is a very fun game. Yes I absolutely miss things from other iterations of the series and I don't doubt when/if a Sims 5 comes out I won't miss things from Sims 4.

If there's something I'm really wanting to play from the others then I'll play that series. And I'm very hopeful that Sims 4 will give us what weren't looking for before it's over just as the others have done. I also live the update in looks of the Sims. I find it hard to play very long in other Sims games because graphically Sims 4 is so much better.

i’m not TOTALLY satisfied yet, but i am happy with the direction it’s going.

there are still mechanics i would like (fears, wants, chemistry/turn ons&offs, improved traits/more individual personality, etc) and of course specific content like we all want. tho we are finally getting more lifestates (whose neglect was one complaint i had). the game still has a LOT of content to add, and i hope we have plenty more time with the game to watch it grow and improve with each pack.

i love the artstyle, i feel like it will age much better than the previous games.

It looks like I clicked starting off with the sims 4 but it was the sims 3 I started with.
