Scientist Career- No Coworkers?
So I made my sim go into the science career and when he got there he was the only one there. There was nobody else and in the other careers (medical and detective) there is always other people working...

You can play as a different family in the neighborhood, have them join the scientist career. When you go to work, you'll see your original sim there (probably as the receptionist). I would suggest doing this with at least 2-3 sims. The receptionist usually didn't have crystals/metals for me to ask for. Repairing the game didn't do anything for me, but this worked immediately. Not sure if it makes a difference, but I always joined the new sim at work for at least one day to make sure everyone got added correctly. All of the coworkers I added were in different households.
