Seasons & Playing Multiple Households?

Back in the sims community after a seriously long break (couple of years).

I like to play multiple families, sometimes the entire hoods but even if I'm keeping it to basically one family I like to play members as they grow up & move out..... I had a male sim started in one household, played him for a while. Started a female sim in a new household (his future wife). I have seasons & noticed that while I can turn aging off until I'm playing a household......the seasons don't work that way. If I start with spring in the male household & play up til summer it's summer when I go in to play the female household. Which is a bummer & seems weird that she can't age but she's in a new season when I return to play her.

Am I missing some way to not just halt aging on non playable sims but also halt change of seasons for them?

If there isn't some means to do this I'm going to be doing a lot of flip flopping back & forth among families so they all can experience seasons in sync.
  • Thanks so much for your help. I'm attempting to keep the game mod free for now. (we'll see how that goes lol)
  • I've set my seasons to the maximum days allowed for when I play rotationally. It still throws off the seasons but at least I can get more families within a season this way. I also randomize the rotation I play each rotation so I'm not always playing the same families in the same seasons. But yes - it would be nice if there were more options as to how you setup seasons in your save file.
  • @Mollypup9 This post came across my dash on Tumblr. You may find it helpful. https://88roadtonowhere.tumblr.com/post/179291954865/mermaidkelp-idk-id-this-has-been-shared-but-saw
  • As far as I know, there's no way to do this. Except ... with MCCC (MC Command Center) there is now an option to change the actual season. If you use mods. If you don't, this is one of the things I do. In my rotation saves, I set my seasons to the longest possible which helps some but if I want a sim to experience a certain season I'll have to flip over to them if their turn won't come up before that.

Alternatively, you could set your seasons to be 7 days only. May make it easier to get around to that particular season (again, if you don't use mods).
  • I play with aging off and a many-household rotation. I find that I can comfortably switch families and not worry a whole lot about how many "years" have passed because they aren't aging without me making it happen.
