As far as the odd ball tempature issues, several have mentioned that mods can cause this problem. I don't have any issues with the tempature being wonky.
Yes, I was guessing mods, too. No issues with temperature in my game - if they're wearing the appropriate clothing, they're fine, and definitely not freezing in hot weather.
