Seasons: Lightning strikes community lots

Question

My current family is in Newcrest in one of the 15x20 lots and lightning struck the community picnic table and grill out in the community lot. Now they're just black and dead and I can't do anything about it.

Can something be done so this can be fixed? LOL. Having those dead items in the locked community spaces is irritating.

Try going to a different lot. A loading screen will fix that issue.

My sim family had a vacation in Granite Falls and lightning struck a junglegym on the lot they had rented. It would have been quite expensive to replace, but luckily it fixed itself when I travelled to another lot. So my advice is the same as above, just adding that it works on rented lots too.

I would exit the game without saving or try to roll back a previous save.
