No it's not.
It does snow in deserts in real life. So I don't know what the face palm is for.
It doesn't snow on deserts in real life, usually. I think snow in the Sahara only happened three times in 40 years. It's a rare climate condition as there needs to be enough water in the atmosphere to rain as snow when temperature falls down to negative Celsius in the night.
