seasons

every since ive had seasons, if it's raining out and someone comes to me and says 'you wanta go to the store' i look at them as though they lost their mind and say something like 'it's pouring down rain outside'. hahahha

does anyone do that?
like when it's snowing in game, it maybe 100 degrees outside, but im freezing cold?

Haha yes! 😄 I do the same thing. Even if it’s warm outside, if it’s snowing in the game, I feel so cold too. And if it’s raining, I’m like “no way, it’s pouring!” Totally relate.

That's such a cool observation! That's why I really like the pack, since it allows people in more tropical zones like me that don't get seasons to experience them vicariously. Sure, it's a little different, but it's a lot cheaper than buying a plane ticket to a seasonable place every time you feel like it.?

I don't have Seasons yet. I would like to have the different vegetables to grow - but don't want the rain and bad weather. Is there a way to shut off weather changes?

It depends on how bad the rain or snow is. Heavy rain or snow is staying in kind of weather. Light rain or snow is fine to go out and have fun.

Not the weather, but I saved a game on Eve of Winterfest (I always put it into the Calendar) once to go to bed, and I woke up the next morning convinced it was Christmas day for about 5 seconds. That was a disappointing morning once I'd realised. :(

Oh, yes! It's hot and humid here, but there's a blizzard raging in my game. I keep thinking it's cold outside, and then I feel so silly. :)

I find it pretty to look at and crave a good thunderstorm whenever my Sims experience one, but I can still look outside and see the reality around me. My Sims just celebrated Halloween in my game and I know that it isn't Halloween in real life.

Yes, I do feel like that sometimes.
It even affects me when I set sim's hot weather and cold weather clothing. I think that helps me pick the outfit better and be frustated over opened ziplocks in cold weather clothing (especially for children and toddlers) (I'd freeze to death quickly as I get cold quicker). I sometimes remove the feminine tag just to have female sims wear puffer jackets.
