It's about realism, that "teens are as tall as adults in RL" argument doesn't fly. We only have a very small amount of life stages in this game (babies, toddlers, children, teens, YAs/Adults and elders) so they need to be unique and differentiate from each other. There would be no talk of pre-teens (or much less) if teens were shorter than adults like they always have been. TS2 and 3 got the age groups pretty spot on (or as spot on as we could expect them to realistically). Adding pre-teens would only mean a brand new lifestage with limited interactions and objects. But teens need to be smaller.
actually I was the SAME HEIGHT as my MOTHER when I was 15 and I;m STILL her height. There's are people who are taller then their mom/dad when they're 15 or younger. so I'm calling your bluff.

and with this GP each lifestage WILL be unqiue without the teens needing to be a different height
