In the Sims, there is no variation on height at all, including the average 6 inch difference between men and women, so it really isn't about a realistic portrayal of height. The reason I would like Sim teens shorter is for a visual cue on the life stage, not because teens in real life are adult height (some are, some aren't, but it's irrelevant).
I mean, I'd love to have all different heights like in the real world, but of course that won't happen and given limited resources shouldn't. Shorter teens won't happen either, but it is a bit of a design problem.
Right now you have four life stages with everyone, male and female, the same height.
