If you have Nifty Knitting you can sell paintings on Plopsy. That's what I do with my artists and photographers. It's not the same as doing it your way but your sim can make money. Maybe you could have the exhibition and then sell on Plopsy. You could pretend other sims saw your sim's work and decided to reach out to buy?
