Cool thread and ideas.
Sometimes I try to get my Sims to cook meals with fresh ingredients only if they have said ingredients. It’s as I they have ‘basic’ supplies.. This can be real pain though, especially with new Sims who shouldn’t cook grilled cheese or macaroni.
If I can be bothered, I try to change using the shower or a dresser, no spinning in mid air. Again, natural gameplay mechanics can interfere. Particularly with seasons.
No dragging dishes or rubbish by “hand of god”. My Sims clean up.
Almost every house, ever, has laundry. They also tend to have dishes racks in the kitchen (sometimes, maybe a dishwasher instead) and either a robot vacuum and/or the broom decoration.
I try to make season appropriate wardrobes which change periodically.
And my holidays, like Christmas and Halloween are carefully timed to happen at the ‘right’ time of ‘year’. If seasons are seven days, a month is about two days (roughly).
I use custom age span with about two years to a week, though I’m experimenting with one year to seven days because of university.
