I decided to make two sims opposite enough to give myself a reason to believe they had a falling out over their differences. Lulu is creative, a bookworm and neat, and Ruben is self assured, a bro and active. Neither had bad traits so I thought of them as generally nice people.. just not in line with each other.

My sims were a bit bit opposite, well, their traits were problematic.
He's flirty, and she has the jealous trait. She was also lazy. So I can see why they are in this situation. And these were sims that were just sitting in my CAS bin for years, so it wasn't planned.
I agree with you about watching them fail at trying to connect being sad to watch.
I like them having wellness in common. And I just thought of something I had wish I had made them try. :o
They could cook meals together.
I wonder if they would do that despite being angry at each other. That should help with reconciling their issues.
If I play this scenario again, I will try the one of the other endings, which would result in one of them moving out, or maybe they both move into apartments and sell the house.
